2. Synoptic situation for 190000z Nov 08, to include regional
near-gale wind events and weather hazards.
A. West med: high pressure over the central Atlantic ridges over
the western Med and interacts with a developing low producing
a sub-gale mistral over the Gulf of Lion. No high winds or seas
12 ft (3.7m) or greater are expected over the west Med.
B. Cent med: a low pressure system over the ionian sea will produce
rainshowers and thunderstorms over the central Med. No high winds
or seas 12 ft (3.7m)or greater are expected over the cent Med.
C. East med: a low pressure system over the ionian sea will produce
rainshowers over the western part of the east Med. High pressure
over the black sea will ridge over the eastern part of the east Med
producing fair weather. No high winds or seas 12 ft (3.7m) or
greater are expected over the east Med.
D. Black sea: a broad area of high pressure over the black sea
produces fair weather for the black sea. No high winds or seas 12
ft (3.7m) or greater are expected over the black sea.
E. Baltic sea: a series of lows will move over the Baltic Sea
producing rainshowers for most of the region. No high winds or seas
12 ft (3.7m) or greater are expected over the Baltic Sea.
