.Forecast discussion: major features/winds/seas/significant
.Weather for North Atlantic ocean W of 50w from 30n to 50n.

Tropical Storm Fay continues along the NE Florida coast. A
stationary front extends W to E across the central nt2 waters
between Cape Hatteras and Cape Fear. High pres covers the area N
of the front across the nt1 and N nt2 waters.

The latest qscat pass showed tropical storm force winds over the
SW portion of Cape Fear to 31n. Winds 20 to 30 kt S of Cape
Lookout and 15 kt or less N of Cape Lookout to the Gulf of
Maine. Seas were 10 to 14 ft far SW nt2 from 6 to 10 elsewhere S
of Cape Lookout...3 to 5 ft from Cape Lookout to 40n and 1-3 ft
across the nt1 waters.

T.S. Fay nearly stationary will be the problem for today. Expect
Fay to move W over the forecast area in the next 24 hour...but
with Fay showing almost no movement expect to keep Tropical
Storm Warning into tngt for the far SW Cape Fear to 31n.

Elsewhere high pres dominates. Watching the models develop a
weak low over the outer offshore waters. Currently the low is
only showing light and variable winds. The exception is the Gem
deepening low center to gale force. No plan to include low in
forecast for this package...but this is time of year for
development.

For update very few changes...but holding nt2 until latest
conference call for Fay.
