Marine weather discussion for Gulf of Mexico...
Caribbean Sea and southwest north Atlc S of 31n W of 55w.
Still have an area of strong nly winds over the far NE Gulf of
Mexico associated with T.S. Fay which is currently along the
E coast of Florida. The latest forecast track brings Fay back
inland over N Florida Thu and Thu night then weakens Fay to
a tropical depression over the Florida Panhandle Fri then
continues to move WNW as a remnant low across the Florida
Panhandle into southern Alabama Sat through Mon. Fay moves
westward and the strong winds continue in the NE Gulf and
then spread into the middle Gulf by Fri night through sun.
The winds gradually decrease on Mon. Winds across the rest
of the Gulf will be light.
Tropical storm warnings will continue over the NW corner
of the Atlc zone...N of around 27n W of 78w. Latest NHC wind
radii forecast keeps tropical storm force winds over the area
through Thu night. Winds finally subside Sat as Fay moves
further W. A tropical wave will move into the se portion of the
area Sat then across the Bahamas sun and Mon. Se winds increase
to 15-20 kt E of the wave Sat into early sun then decrease late
sun and Mon.
Trades across the Caribbean remain much lighter then normal.
The only 20 kt winds are confined to the coast of Colombia.
Tropical wave will move into the tropical Atlantic zone Thu
then into the E Caribbean Fri then across the central Caribbean
Sat and sun and into the W Caribbean Mon.
