High Surf Advisory
Issued by the National Weather Service at 6:32 am PST on November 7, 2009

... High surf advisory remains in effect until 3 am PST Monday...

A high surf advisory remains in effect until 3 am PST Monday.

A very large northwest swell generated by a storm in the Gulf of
Alaska will cause seas to build to 17 to 23 feet. The large swell
will produce breakers of 13 to 18 feet today through Sunday... mainly
on west and northwest facing beaches. Local sets over 20 feet are
possible. There will be a high risk of rip currents through the
weekend.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
